i recently drew a redesign of the shambler from quake.

but this is not the first iteration of this design, and it certainly won't be the last! i designed this version of the shambler 8 months ago, and i still really like it! here are some of the first sketches.

this is the first one i drew, and it was from october i think. i was just starting to take drawing classes, and i still had (and have) a long way to go. i was OBSESSED with the idea of a quake reboot back then, so i made these designs based off the original textures and models.

this one is from november i think. it's a bit more cutesy, but retains the same elements from the original design such as the mouth in the abdomen (based off the nightmare animatronics from fnaf 4 teehee), the stumpy feet and the gaping mouth. i remember not being too impressed with this one.

this last one is probably my favorite. i believe it's from early december, and you can tell that i sort of figured out how to draw muscles. it's still SUPER rough, but i was proud enough to color it. below it is a redesign of the ogre from quake.

so that's my history with the design. i think it has a lot of potential and i'm going to keep drawing it as much as i can.
